For $10.00 per month, families, groups and/or individuals
can assist in improving the life of a child at the orphanage. Through
sponsorship, money is provided for such “extras” as medicine,
school supplies, books, clothing, recreational outings and structural
improvements. Since the project began in August of 1999, almost
$60,000 has been sent and used for these purposes.
Sponsors are encouraged to correspond with their “godsons.”
The boys write letters several times a year; they are translated here
and sent on to the sponsors, who number from 40-50
at any given
time. Many sponsors choose to send us extra donations to use for
Christmas presents and for the general fund.
Sponsors receive newsletters with information on the
happenings at the orphanage and the use to which their donations
are put.
